So where do we begin...
Monday was my first official day of summer vacation. You would think from past experience that I would take this time to reflect upon the past 10 months. Ya right, not me. I jump into another big event and this time I am bringing the whole family with me. Potty Training.
Day One:
The family woke up to Momma telling JJ that there will be no more diapers. Wow, surprisingly JJ and my husband took to this new development very well. For the next 14 long, long hours we went through 12 pairs of underwear, 14 towels, three baths, four tantrums and what seemed like a million trips to the bathroom. So, did JJ pee on the potty? Aaaah, no. Nothing, not even a drop of pee!
As night began to fall I had to make the decision. Diaper at night or underwear? As this is one of the most draining experiences for a mom, I knew that sleep will be important, especially if tomorrow is going to be successful. So, I did what any sleep deprived mother would do, I put a diaper on my child faster than a blink and let the little guy know that these would only be worn at bed time. Wow, in my warped mind I really think a 3 year old can understand this concept.
Off to day two!
